Apaya Alternatives for Home Service Businesses, and When Apaya Is the Right Call
By TradeFlow Editorial Team · Published 2026-10-03
Apaya is a capable AI social media tool, and it has put real work into contractor pages for HVAC, plumbing, roofing and other trades. Home service companies and the agencies that serve them still go looking for alternatives, usually for one of three reasons: the price climbs fast once you manage more than one brand, the trial is three days, or they need something more specialized for the trades.
We make runtradeflow.com, one of the alternatives below, so read this with that in mind. Every price comes from each company's own website, checked on October 3, 2026, and we've included the cases where Apaya is the better choice.
What Apaya does well
- It builds a brand profile from your website and writes captions, designs graphics, schedules, publishes and reports from one place.
- It posts almost everywhere: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, YouTube, Bluesky and Threads.
- It has trade-specific features, including job photos, before-and-after highlights and seasonal reminders on its contractor pages.
- Agencies get white-labeling on the Supernova plan, with a branded screen where clients approve or request changes.
- Blaze and up add analytics and blog posts to the same subscription.
Why home service companies look for an Apaya alternative
Cost per brand. Each Apaya plan includes one brand. Extra brands are $59 a month on Spark and Blaze and $89 on Supernova. That's fine for one company and expensive for an agency or a multi-location operator.
A short trial. Apaya's trial is 3 days. A month of social media is hard to judge in three days, especially during a busy week.
Social account limits on the entry plan. Spark covers four social accounts for one brand. A contractor posting to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile uses all four.
runtradeflow.com vs Apaya, side by side
- Built from your website: both. Paste the URL and each tool builds the brand from it.
- Content: both write captions and make branded graphics. runtradeflow.com plans the month on a seasonal mix for your trade and can build posts around job photos you upload. Apaya adds blog posts on Blaze and up.
- Platforms: Apaya publishes to ten. runtradeflow.com publishes to four: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile, with a CSV export for any other scheduler.
- Approval: both let you approve before anything publishes. Apaya Supernova gives clients their own white-labeled approval screen. In runtradeflow.com, clients don't log in; you approve on their behalf.
- Analytics: Apaya includes analytics from Blaze up. runtradeflow.com doesn't report engagement analytics.
- Trial: Apaya, 3 days. runtradeflow.com, 7 days with no card.
- One brand: Apaya Spark is $69 a month, or $55 billed annually. runtradeflow.com Solo is $79 a month.
- Five brands: Apaya Blaze with four extra brands is about $365 a month ($129 plus 4 × $59). runtradeflow.com Multi is $149.
- Fifteen brands: Apaya Supernova with fourteen extra brands is about $1,475 a month, or about $1,429 billed annually. runtradeflow.com Agency is $299.
Other Apaya alternatives worth a look
Marky. Learns your voice and style from your website, makes AI images, carousels and animated posts, and posts to Google Business Profile. Solo is $39 a month ($19 billed annually). Pro, at $229 ($114 annually), adds a white-label client portal and approval workflow, and extra brands are $25 each on Growth and Pro. The closest match if you want Apaya's agency features at a lower price.
BuilderBase. Built for contractors. Pulls job photos from CompanyCam, Google Drive and Dropbox, posts to Google Business Profile, and adds review requests and local rank tracking. Plans run $29 to $99 a month, with a 7-day trial and no card. The best fit if your crews already shoot every job in CompanyCam.
Presly. Scans your website, including brand colors, and generates posts on credits, about 50 posts for $39 a month on Starter. The most posts per dollar, but the 7-day trial needs a card and no plan lists an approval workflow.
Buffer. If you're happy writing your own posts, Buffer is a cheap, dependable scheduler that supports Google Business Profile, with a free plan for three channels.
A done-for-you service. Tradesly Social charges $399 a month for two posts a week and $549 for five, and you approve every post. More expensive than any software here, and nothing for you to run.
When Apaya is the better pick
Stay with Apaya, or pick it, if any of these are true:
- You need TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, X or Bluesky as well as the big four.
- You want analytics and blog posts in the same subscription.
- Your agency clients expect to log in to a branded screen and approve their own posts.
If none of those apply and you run one company or a roster of contractor brands, the cost per brand and the trial length are worth comparing directly. For a broader comparison, see our roundup of the best AI social media tools for home service businesses.
